9 RECIPES FOR HOMEMADE MASKS

1. Banana Mask

Yes, you can turn a simple banana into an all-natural, homemade facial mask that moisturizes your skin and makes it softer. To do this, mash a ripe, medium-sized banana into a smooth paste and apply it gently to your face and neck. Let it sit for 10 to 20 minutes, then rinse with cold water. Here is another popular recipe for a banana mask: ΒΌ glass of plain yoghurt, 2 tablespoons of honey and 1 medium banana.

2. Vinegar face mask

The use of vinegar as a skin tonic dates back to the time of Helen of Troy. Legend has it that the daughter of Zeus and Leah was the second most beautiful woman in the world, just after Aphrodite. Anyway, the recipe is just as effective today. After cleansing your face, mix 1 tablespoon of cider vinegar with 2 glasses of water to obtain a rinsing solution to cleanse and tone your skin. You can also prepare a homemade mask by mixing 1/4 glass of cider vinegar with 1/4 glass of water. Gently apply the solution to your face and let it dry.

3. Milk Face Mask

Here’s another way to feel at the spa while staying at home. Prepare a mask by mixing 1/4 glass of powdered milk with enough water to form a thick paste. Carefully coat your face with this mixture, let it dry completely, then rinse with warm water. You will feel your face refreshed and rejuvenated.

4. Oatmeal Face Mask

If you’re looking for a quick pickup to make you feel better and look better, offer yourself an oatmeal mask. Mix 1/2 glass of warm (not boiling) water with 1/3 glass of oatmeal. After the water and oat flakes have been mixed for two or three minutes, mix 2 tablespoons of plain yoghurt, 2 tablespoons of honey and 1 small egg white. Apply a thin layer of this mask to your face and leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes. Then rinse off with warm water (make sure to place a metal or plastic container in your sink to avoid clogging the pipes with the granules).

5. Mayonnaise Face Mask

Why waste money on expensive creams when you can treat yourself to a homemade soothing mask with egg mayonnaise that you can find in your own refrigerator? Gently spread the mayonnaise on your face and leave it on for about 20 minutes. Then wipe off and rinse with cold water. You’ll feel your face is clean and smooth.

6. Yogurt face mask

You don’t have to go to a spa to give your face a quick whiplash. To cleanse your skin and tighten pores, coat your face with a little plain yogurt and leave it on for about 20 minutes. For a refreshing face mask, mix 1 teaspoon of plain yogurt with 1/4 orange juice, some orange pulp, and 1 teaspoon of aloe. Leave the solution on your face for at least five minutes before you rinse.

7. Mustard Face Mask

Coat your face with mild yellow mustard for an invigorating facial that will soothe and stimulate your skin. Test on a small area first to prevent side effects such as redness or irritation.

8. Lemon Face Mask

Prepare a facial that exfoliates and moisturizes at the same time by mixing the juice of 1 lemon with 1/4 glass of olive oil or sweet almond oil.

9. Egg face mask

For some relaxation, go to the refrigerator and take an egg. If your skin is dry and needs to be moisturized, separate the yolk from the egg white and beat the yolk. People with oily skin will use the egg white, to which a little lemon or honey can be added. For normal skin, use the whole egg. Apply the beaten egg, then relax and wait 30 minutes, then wash off.
